Children’s Reading (ages 7 and up)
Jonathan Aikins reads Ihre Hoheit Matsch by Beatrice Alemagna
Ihre Hoheit Matsch
Every day, Yuki walks home from school with her brother. She isn’t very close to him – in fact, she isn’t really close to anyone and is generally quite grumpy. One day, when she angrily throws her house keys and they fall into a drain, she climbs in after them—and so begins a very special journey…
Beatrice Alemagna
Italian illustrator and author Beatrice Alemagna (*1973, Bologna) studied at the graphic design school ISIA in Urbino. In 1997, she moved to Paris, where she currently lives, and worked for over ten years as a poster artist for the Centre Pompidou. Alemagna has published more than 30 children’s books, which have been translated into numerous languages.
Jonathan Aikins
Jonathan Kwesi Aikins (*1989, Berlin) is a German actor and voice actor. He gained recognition through his leading role in the film Mikel and as investigator Thomas Okonjo in Tatort since 2019.
Children’s Reading (ages 4 and up)
Die Drehbühne Berlin reads Der Ostermann by Marc-Uwe Kling and Astrid Henn, as well as a Christmas Story by Astrid Lindgren
Der Ostermann
The son of Santa Claus doesn’t have it easy. He really dislikes winter, snow, oranges, tea, and beards! But in spring, his heart opens up, and he can never get enough of brightly painted eggs. Naturally, he dreams of becoming the Easter-Man when he grows up. His father, of course, is not happy about this. Being Santa Claus is a family tradition after all.
Marc-Uwe Kling and Astrid Henn
The wonderfully funny novels, children’s books, and comics by Marc-Uwe Kling and Astrid Henn can be found in countless children’s rooms and bookshelves. Works like Das NEINhorn, Das Klugscheißerchen, and Der Tag, an dem die Oma das Internet kaputt gemacht hat are real classics that have become indispensable.
Die Drehbühne Berlin
In 2004, directors and actors Nanda Ben Chaabane and Lorenz Chr. Köhler founded the independent theater company Drehbühne Berlin, which became known for their long-running Christmas classic The Little Prince in Berlin. Their immersive station theater A Christmas Story, based on Charles Dickens, will run from December 6–20, 2025, at Kulturscheune Mutter Fourage in Berlin-Wannsee.

CONCERTS
Martha Rose
Martha Rose is an English musician living in Berlin. Her latest solo album Close to Close was produced with and mixed by ET (Discovery Zone, John Moods) in Neukölln. The album uses sampled voices, water, flutes, and breathy synth sounds alongside drum machines and a collection of vintage Yamaha keyboards to create a minimal and intimate space.
Influenced by Daniel Johnston, Anna Domino, Laurie Anderson and Kate Bush, her work tenderly explores the almost-knowing of love,
through an 80s outsider art pop lens.
Singen3000
The goal of Singen3000 is to bring together musicians from a variety of backgrounds in order to practice polyphonic a capella music from many different genres including national folk music (from e.g. Ukraine, Argentina, England, Georgia), sacred music (i.e. church music in Latin, English, Ukrainian), contemporary compositions, and original arrangements from choir conductor, George Adje.
presented by Musicboard Berlin
EERA
I’ll Stop When I’m Done is the third album, and first research-led body of work, from artist EERA (Anna Lena Kristen), produced by Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear). The album is inspired by the famous Marilyn Monroe quote: “I don’t stop when I’m tired, I only stop when I’m done”.
The quote sparked EERA's interest and led her to view old back-and-white films, then undertake a deeper dive into the lives of the starlets she encountered there. What emerges is a studied celebration of the female experience, in all its complexity, strength and vulnerability.
The eponymous title track is a electronic tinged ‘pop’ track. It’s indicative of the forthcoming album as whole which sees EERA blur the lines between her formative PJ Harvey influences and more recent ones in the bewitching psychedelic dream-pop of Broadcast.
powli
powli is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Berlin. She sings, plays piano and guitar, writes songs, and produces in the studio.
powli’s dreamy indie-pop combines warm melodies with sensitive, thoughtful lyrics. Her songs move between vulnerability and strength, inviting listeners to simply immerse themselves.
