MISS READ: The Berlin Art Book Fair & Festival 2026
The Berlin Art Book Fair & Festival brings together a wide selection of the most interesting artists/authors, periodicals, art publishers and zines and is accompanied by a series of lectures, discussions, book launches and workshops exploring the boundaries of contemporary publishing and the possibilities of the book. While dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists' books and related publications, MISS READ also aims to empower artists who operate independently from the commercial gallery system.
Continuing its shared exploration into Decolonizing Art Book Fairs, MISS READ is committed to broaden the spectrum of what publishing represents and aims to nurture different cultures and communities from around the world. This year's focus on Bibliodiversity is dedicated to publishing as artistic practice, to the cultural diversity of reading and writing and to the ecosystems of independent publishers and artists.
In conjunction with MISS READ, the annual Conceptual Poetics Day, on Saturday, June 27, explores the imaginary border between visual art and literature.
MISS READ 2026 starts with a pre-fair programme of events in collaboration with Station of Commons in the MISS READ Space (Gerichtstr. 45), down the street from silent green, from June 23 to June 25.
