CANCELLED – Martin Rev

Concert

Dear Martin Rev - Fans, unfortunately we have to cancel the show on 7th of December in Berlin. Please contact tickets(at)tickets.de regarding return and refund. Thank you for your understanding.

It's amazing how present the sound that Martin Rev shaped alongside Alan Vega at the end of the 70s still is today: whether in hyped British post-punk bands or in the acts of the so-called New German Wave, traces of Suicide can be found everywhere. Martin Reverby, his full name, chased a well-travelled Farfisa organ through effects units over drum computers in the band's early years in New York before switching to synths. Although Alan Vega was Suicide's main vocalist, after the band's temporary demise, it was quickly learned that Martin Rev also has a very charismatic voice when he wants to sing - and enough creative drive for half a dozen solo projects. In his rich oeuvre you can find grave-cold instrumental No Wave as well as synth rock or even bubblegum pop and classic songwriter ballads. The last official release Clouds Of Glory was instrumental, dazzlingly beautiful and ice-cold, but when he plays at silent green in Berlin, basically anything can happen musically.
