Der in Australien lebende Schwede Jens Lekman meldet sich dieses Jahr mit seinem neuen, fünften Album Life Will See You Now zurück. Obwohl die Veröffentlichung seines letzten Albums I Know What Love Isn’t bald fünf Jahre zurückliegt, war der Singer-Songwriter keineswegs untätig. Er selbst beschreibt die Zeit zwischen den beiden Alben als eine schwierige und doch heilsame Entwicklung hin zu einem neuen Ich. Im Vergleich zu seinem eher zart anmutenden und traurigen Vorgänger, ist Life Will See You Now ein Album im Zeichen von Veränderung und Fortschritt: „It’s an album of stories about people coming face to face with their fears and with the choices they’ve made and have to make. [...] This is an album about taking responsibility.“ (Lekman)

Swedish singer-songwriter Jens Lekman returns to the stage with his new, fifth album Life Will See You Now. During the five years since the release of his last record I Know What Love Isn't, Lekman has been anything but idle. He describes this period in-between-albums as a difficult but beneficial journey of self-transformation. Compared to the rather tender and melancholic tones of his preceeding work, this album dedicates itself to change and progress: „It’s an album of stories about people coming face to face with their fears and with the choices they’ve made and have to make. [...] This is an album about taking responsibility.“ (Lekman)
