Liebe Freund*innen des silent green,
und schon ist sie wieder vorbei, die Berlinale 2022 – kurz war sie in diesem Jahr, deutlich reduzierter und geprägt vom pandemischen Geschehen mit all seinen Einschränkungen und Nebenwirkungen. Doch bis zum 13. März noch habt ihr die Möglichkeit, euch die Forum Expanded-Ausstellung Closer to the Ground in unserer Betonhalle anzuschauen. Dienstags bis sonntags ist sie weiterhin zwischen 14 und 19 Uhr geöffnet, kommt vorbei und bringt ein bisschen Zeit mit – es lohnt sich!
Ansonsten steht der März bei uns ganz im Zeichen der Musik: Nach einer Pandemie-bedingten Verschiebung seiner Tour, besucht uns am Anfang des Monats nun endlich der Singer-Songwriter Douglas Dare um mit seiner Musik einen Zufluchtsort für alle, die sich anders oder fehl am Platz fühlen, zu schaffen (4.3.). Am 17.03. begrüßen wir dann erneut das Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin mit einem weiteren ihrer Kammerkonzerte: Wir freuen uns auf das Programm 'Klangspiegel' und Werke von Schostakowitsch und Tschaikowsky, die darin reflektiert werden.
Zum Schluss möchten wir hier schon einmal darauf hinweisen, dass auch dieses Jahr wieder MaerzMusik – Festival für Zeitfragen einen großen Teil seines Programmes bei uns im silent green veranstaltet (18.3.–27.3.). Freut euch auf verschiedene Konzerte, Workshops und Performances. Die Tickets sind heiß begehrt und der Vorverkauf beginnt schon am 3. März!

Sich näher am Boden bewegen, den Dingen auf den Grund gehen, genau hinschauen und -hören, wahrnehmen, was in nächster Nähe, oft unerkannt, passiert – in diesem Zeichen steht die 17. Ausgabe des Forum Expanded und die Auswahl von Filmen, Installationen und Performances, die in unserer Betonhalle im Rahmen der diesjährigen Berlinale präsentiert werden. Mit Arbeiten von: Haig Aivazian, Musquiqui Chihying, Thirza Cuthand, Paula Gaitán, Matthias De Groof, The Living and the Dead Ensemble, Naeem Mohaiemen, Rosalind Morris, Grace Ndiritu, Abdi Osman, Kerstin Schroedinger, Maya Schweizer und Siska. Dear friends of silent green,
the Berlinale 2022 is already over – it was short this year, much more reduced and marked by the pandemic with all its restrictions and side effects. But until March 13 you still have the chance to see the Forum Expanded exhibition Closer to the Ground in our Betonhalle. It will still be open Tuesdays to Sundays between 2 and 7 p.m. Come by and bring some time with you – it's worth it!
March is all about music: after a pandemic-related postponement of his tour, singer-songwriter Douglas Dare will finally visit us at the beginning of the month to create a refuge with his music for all those who feel different or out of place (4.3.). Then on 17.03. we welcome the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin again with another of their chamber concerts: We look forward to the programme 'Sound mirrors' and works by Shostakovich and Tchaikovsky reflected in it.
Finally, we would like to announce that MaerzMusik – Festival for Time Issues will again be staging a large part of their programme at silent green this year (18.3.–27.3.). Look forward to various concerts, workshops and performances. Tickets are in great demand and advance sales start on March 3!

Getting to the bottom of things, looking and listening closely, recognizing what unfolds in close proximity—this is the task undertaken by the 17th edition of Forum Expanded and the selection of films, installations and performances that will be presented in our Betonhalle as part of this year's Berlinale.
