Zu Gast im silent green: Pictoplasma Festival & Ausstellung

Pictoplasma, das weltweit einmalige Festival zu den neuesten Gestalten in Kunst, Illustration und Animationsfilm, ruft im Frühjahr zur 11. Ausgabe nach Berlin. Mit dem Titel "Form Follows Empathy" stellt die Veranstaltung das funktionalistische Credo der Moderne in Frage. Die diesjährige Gruppenausstellung ist zu Gast im silent green: vom 29. April bis 03. Mai 2015 präsentieren 18 internationale Künstler aus u.a. Peru, Japan und Spanien ihre akutellen Arbeiten in der Kuppelhalle, darunter Skulpturen, Zeichnungen und Malerei.

Daneben zeigt Pictoplasma Animationsfilmprogramme im Kino Babylon am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz und eine Werkschau der Absolventen des hauseigenen Studienkurses, der Pictoplasma Academy. Weitere Informationen unter  pictoplasma.com

Guests at silent green: Pictoplasma festival & exhibition

Since 2004 the Berlin based Pictoplasma project tirelessly hosts, encourages and pushes forward a unique, playful and interdisciplinary investigation of the visual avant-garde and graphic arts in the post-digital age. From April 29th to May 3rd 2015, the Pictoplasma main exhibition is taking over silent green's cupola. 18 international artists present new original work – sculptures, paintings, art editions and multiples – many of them for the first time in Berlin. The exhibition includes animist vases from Korea, polished resin skulls from Peru, darkly humorous prints from Spain and haunting child portraits from Japan.

Besides the exhibition in silent green, the freshly graduated Alumni of the 2014 Pictoplasma Academy will present their works at Urban Spree and four new, feature film length animation programs await you each evening at the Babylon, bringing surprising animation to the big screen.
