Aufgrund der aktuellen Situation rund um Corona muss die Show von Jonathan Wilson abgesagt werden.

Hier ein Statement von Jonathan Wilson:

“Due to all the unanswered questions still surrounding Covid-19 I have decided to cancel all tour dates that were previously going to be rescheduled in the coming months.
Once a vaccine or antibody test emerges or we get some clearer answers we can move forward and figure out how to bring the JW live experience to you, Nearly Nashville band, solo, or otherwise. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  I have been at home at the studio working on a bunch of new music and figuring out how to livestream at the highest audio fidelity and video quality, more to come soon!

„It was so fast it was a blur. Hence the title, Dixie Blur. And there really is a magic that occurs when musicians play together in a room and create that one consistent thing in time, something is created by the collective energy that is impossible to recreate otherwise. It feels like another side, you know? Sort of like a personal, unplugged, just got off the road feeling. I think it’s the most down to earth and emotional both musically and lyrically that I’ve ever been.“

Dixie Blur ist der Titel des neuen Albums von Singer-Songwriter und Multiinstrumentalist Jonathan Wilson. Produziert wurde es in einer Rekordzeit von nur sechs Tagen mit Hilfe seines Freundes Pat Sansone, der schon mit Bands wie Wilco zusammen gearbeitet hat. Musikalische Unterstützung lieferten ihm unter anderem Musiker wie Mark O’Connor (Fidel, Gitarre) oder Dennis Crouch (Kontrabass).

Als Inspirationsquelle für Dixie Blur nennt Wilson das Heimweh, unter dem er während seiner letzten Tournee mit Roger Waters gelitten hatte. „Stuck out there in a hotel in Latvia, it’s a long way from anything that feels like home or family. I felt I was subconsciously being led back to my roots. I still think of Carolina sometimes. I miss the family. I miss that feeling. I miss home“. Sein neues Album verbindet seine Songstrukturen erstmals mit heimatlichen Einflüssen aus Country, Bluegrass und Americana. 

Während seiner Musikkarriere hat Wilson unter anderem als Produzent für namenhafte KünstlerInnen wie Lana Del Rey, Father John Misty oder Folk Legende Roy Harper gearbeitet – sowie als Gitarrist für Roger Waters. 

Dixie Blur ist das bisher persönlichste Album von Jonathan Wilson, da es musikalische Einflüsse aus seiner Kindheit aufgreift und uns so einen Einblick darauf gibt, was er Zuhause nennt.
