Artist Talk with Hajnal Németh
Artist Talk
On December 11, conceptual artist Hajnal Németh will reflect on the last ten years of her work in a conversation with Sebastian Hoffmann (EBENSPERGER). The Artist Talk at silent green will examine Németh's artistic systems, themes, and agents – among them blue collars, choirs, cars, CEOs, and casting shows.
The talk will be intersected with scenes and details from a selection of Németh's performance films since 2011. The evening accompanies her current solo show White Song – Among Others at EBENSPERGER in direct vicinity to silent green. The exhibition includes the artist's latest musical film, Work Song – As Time Goes By and will be on view before and after the talk, from 5–9 pm.
Hajnal Németh, born 1972, is a Hungarian conceptual artist. In her artistic practice she creates musicals, operas, performances, films and photographs. By slightly but effectively modifying popular poems, songs and texts she encourages political statements and provokes reactions from the informed mind. Németh's work has been shown at Kunstmuseum Stuttgart; 54th Biennale di Venezia; Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin a.o.
