On the current situation
We are very happy to have finally opened our doors again and to welcome you!
In June, we'll start with some picnic concerts on our beautiful lawn, the Berlinale summer cinema in the courtyard and the exhibition Cohabitation at Betonhalle.
Strict adherence to hygiene and protective measures and the wearing of a medical mask (outdoors) or an FFP2 mask (indoors) are currently necessary in order to hold cultural events under the given conditions. Thank you for your understanding!
Please find more details in our programme section under the respective event.
See you soon at silent green!
The former crematorium of Berlin-Wedding is listed in Berlin as a historically protected building. If you would like to take a look behind the scenes of this unique historical monument, please register for one of our guided tours. GERMAN ONLY!
++ Soon there will finally be new dates for historical tours. As soon as they are fixed, we will announce them here and via our other channels. ++
Festival feeling at silent green: From June 9–20, open-air-screenings of Berlinale's Summer Special will take place in the courtyard in front of the Kuppelhalle.
Also transmediale has opened its studio doors here at silent green again in order to continue the film programme remote.response.request. On-site visits can be booked online.
From June 5 to July 4, the exhibition of the project Cohabitation - A Manifesto for the Solidarity of Non-Humans and Humans in Urban Space can be seen in our Betonhalle.
Last year, silent green was unexpectedly honoured for the conversion of the historical building into a Kulturquartier with the Silver Award 2020 in the category "business" at this year's FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Germany, a nationwide competition for project developments. We are truly happy and just now especially grateful to receive public recognition and support for our vision.
