Babylon Orchestra with Bahila Hijazi

Concert

"Dream-Pop - Babylon Orchestra features Bahila Hijazi"

On December 6, Babylon Orchestra will perform with the Syrian singer Bahila Hijazi as part of its unVEILed Vol. III series.

The intimate concert will take place in the historic premises of silent green. Alienation and people in search of individuality are some of the subjects that are dealt with in the lyrics of the singer-songwriter. Her music – a kind of atmospheric dream-pop – is characterized by spherical surfaces and poetic singing. Bahila Hijazi was a member of the first Syrian female rock band Karma. Her love for music continued during her architectural studies in Damascus, Istanbul and Berlin. She not only plays the keyboard but also guitar, bass and drums. In 2015, she received the Musicboard Award together with the band The Last Postman and moved to Berlin the year after, where she still lives, working on her new EP to be released by the end of the year. In addition to the pieces by Bahila Hijazi, soloists of Babylon Orchestra will also present special pieces from their repertoire in the first half of the concert.

With: Bahila Hijazi – Voice /Guitar, Hekmat Al Kassar – visuals, Muhammad Bazz - Synthesizer/Guitar, Azin Zahedi – flute, Dima Daoud – Qanoon, Aeman Hlal – violin, Mischa Tangian – Violin, Julia Bilat – Cello, Or Rozenfeld – Bass, Serdar Seydan – Percussion.
