Towards the end of World War I, Zora meets her future husband, who, like her, is a staunch communist. Together they settle in southern Italy and resist the fascist regime. The focus of this family novel is the grandmother of Zora del Buono – an incorruptible woman who not only adored Tito, but also took part in a momentous robbery.
