The duo Bremer/McCoy from Copenhagen began their collective musical journey in 2013 - even though the two have known each other for most of their lives. Jonathan Bremer (double bass) and Morten McCoy (piano, Wurlitzer, loops) have been friends since childhood and their almost symbiotic way of working together is reflected on different levels. Whether in terms of sound or in their intensive live performances – they share the feeling of being connected. With their melodic, meditative jazz they create their very own sound universe.

With Utopia (2019), the duo has released their fourth album, which once again underlines their perfectionism, especially in terms of sound quality. Their demand for sound is reflected in the fact, that they are touring with their own custom made sound system.

Bremer/McCoy give their compositions a lot of scope for innovation – everything is under the overriding goal of creating something that connects people. "We have had some overwhelming experiences ourselves through music, and we hope that our listeners will be able to do the same," explains Morten McCoy. You can try this out twice in Germany this year with their performances in Berlin and at the Elbjazz Festival in Hamburg.
