Francesco Tristano: "On Early Music

Concert

"Music is music." Francesco Tristano's artistic self-image cannot be described more aptly than with this quotation from Alban Berg. The pianist and composer from Luxembourg is one of the few classical artists for whom high and club culture are not opposites. His virtuoso playing, his outstanding technique and his bold interpretations have made him famous all over the world. Everything he does is an expression of an openness that tolerates no limits, no constrictions. Music is music, and whether baroque or modern, dance or avant-garde, it seeks to connect body and mind and lead to euphoria and something sublime.
