Temple of Faitiche: ASUNA / Groupshow / Clive Holden+Jan Jelinek – sold out! –

silent green presents

On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, the Faitiche label is organising a special evening at silent green: Japanese sound artist ASUNA will present his 100 Keyboards performance (for the first time in Berlin. 100 battery-powered Casio keyboards, all playing the same chord, will be set up one by one at the Kuppelsaal - so that after 70 minutes a massive drone will make the room vibrate. Afterwards, Groupshow, the improv trio of Hanno Leichtmann, Andrew Pekler and Jan Jelinek, will reunite live for the first time after a 5-year break. Parallel to the concerts at the Kuppelsaal, the audio/video installation Seascape – polytptych by Clive Holden and Jan Jelinek will be shown as a world premiere at the Atelierraum: fragments from John Huston's classic film Moby Dick will be reassembled using random algorithms. Jan Jelinek provides the soundtrack. The dynamic volume and tone of the captain Ahab's speech control a synthesizer system that turns Ahabs voice into ten abstract soundscapes. Fittingly, the soundtrack will be released as an album on the Faitiche label on April 28.
