Salamanda

Salamanda is a Seoul-based Leftfield Ambient music producer/DJ duo of Uman Therma (Sala) and Yetsuby (Manda). The electronic duo who believes every sound has its own beauty, loves to create imagined worlds with their colorful, dreamy, and organic palette of sounds. Their albums released on international labels including Good Morning Tapes (FR), Small Méasures (UK), and Human Pitch (US) have earned praise from the likes of Crack, Pitchfork, RA and many others. With radio residencies on LYL (FR) and NTS (UK) as well as their sound works for multiple fashion films, animations, festivals and exhibitions, Salamanda continues to reach out to a wider range of listeners around the world.

Lucy Liyou

San Francisco-based artist Lucy Liyou synthesises field recordings, text-to-speech readings, poetry, and elements from Korean folk opera into sonic narratives that explore the implications of Orientalism and westernisation. Though their music reflects the work of genres such as post-industrial and musique-concrète, Liyou is influenced by audiobooks as well as music from the Impressionist period and Neoclassical period. Combining all these disparate sonic elements into critically cohesive pieces, the musical world of Lucy Liyou alternates between beautiful serenity and unsettling entropy. Gorgeous bits of neoclassical music fragment into decaying shards, voices get warped beyond recognition, and shimmering light makes way for bitcrushed noise. This fragile equilibrium translates perfectly to the stage, where Lucy Liyou will perform as a duo with Nick Zanca, combining piano, vocals, guitar, and electronics. Nick Zanca is a composer, record producer and writer. His sonic work spans the idioms of songcraft, synthesis, sound collage and electroacoustic improvisation.

ccontrary

Paris-based singer and electronic musician ccontary has been involved with music all her life. For her, music has always been an expression of her emotions, experiences and feelings. Her songs mean to her her own language through which listeners can gain empathy or dive into themselves to find their own reflections on music. She likes to convey depth through her tracks, touching people not physically but mentally, something intangible can reach the depths of the soul, become a connecting link between different people. It amazes her how sound moves in space, creates vibrations and reflections, like something alive.
