7 pm: Laura Masotto
Laura Masotto is a classically trained Italian violinist who is constantly on a journey of exploration. She began studying the violin at the age of five and launched her career at the age of fifteen, performing in chamber and symphony orchestras across Europe. Over the years, Laura has worked on theater projects and performed live as a studio musician with internationally renowned artists. In 2019, she released her first solo album, Fireflies, which she composed and performed entirely on her own. She has also contributed tracks to several label compilations, including Before the Rising Sun for Strings Layers of 7K!; Quantica and To Learn and Grow (in collaboration with American pianist and composer Philip G Anderson) for the Scale Compilation by Bigo & Twigetti; Waves (in collaboration with Anderson) and Mirage for Mediterraneo by Lady Blunt Records. Her latest album, WE, was released on 7K! and combines string instruments with electronica. It features collaborations with Roger Goula and Hior Chronik. Her new album is set to be released in 2023.

8 pm: Arnold Kasar
Arnold Kasar‘s music originates from the intersection of electronic, ambient and classical piano music. Since his solo debut in 2012, Kasar‘s work has produced surprising blends of these genres. His album Einfluss, made in collaboration with Roedelius, was critically acclaimed and set new standards. On the Neue Meister label, Arnold Kasar debuted in 2019 with the album Resonanz. That album is now followed by a similar new album called My Favorite Colours. The central approach of the new project is the interdisciplinary reference between music and colors. Simple associations and a multitude of scientific writings on the subject, allow philosophical thoughts to circle here. It is not by chance that the term timbres is often referred to as the soundcolor in the context of sound design. Most recently, he had also used AI-based algorithms to explore the boundaries between classical composition and postmodern sound textures. Arnold Kasar often prepared the piano for the performance and recording of his works. From the resulting sound material, he developed his own synthesizer and sampling tools, with which he primarily pursues his sound art. In his solo concerts, he offers powerful versions of his more intimate studio recordings and interweaves them with longer stretches of free improvisation.
