VOICES Performing Arts Festival
The VOICES Performing Arts Festival is an independent platform that represents the voices of displaced artists who have to find new ways to be heard. It explores how an artist's identity can transcend geographical boundaries and whether displaced artists can redefine themselves in a new cultural context and enrich it.

This year's music, theater and dane productions focus on artists from countries of the former USSR.

An audiovisual journey into the world of the approaching future, where humans and machines must redefine ethics and social relationships.

The play explores the complex relationship between humans and machines. It tells the story of Drone living equally in both worlds, who doesn't understand love, her own feelings, or motives and revenge after being deceived by the human. The performance blends a drone-punk aesthetic with elements of comics, sound design, and queer recitative to critique the mercantile anti-hero, Dr. Stoner, who is trapped in the deep Anthropocene.

Dmitry Melkin
Melkin ist ein Absolvent der London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA). Seit 2007 ist er als Schauspieler und Regisseur am Liquid Theater tätig. Er ist Preisträger des Nationalen Theaterpreises „Goldene Maske“ in der Kategorie „Experiment“. Seit 2011 leitet er das Studio LOW TECH und ist Resident des Meyerhold Center. Melkin hat Produktionen wie Solaris, Palms, In Praise of Idleness und andere geschaffen. Er studierte Biomechanik bei Alexey Levinsky. Als Regisseur und Pädagoge unterrichtete er an der Moskauer Kunsttheaterschule in der Werkstatt von Dmitry Brusnikin. Seine Inszenierung von The Forest erhielt zahlreiche positive Kritiken und wurde auf dem Edinburgh Fringe Festival mit fünf Sternen ausgezeichnet.

Gladstone Mahib
2015 machte Gladstone seinen Abschluss an der Moskauer Kunsttheaterschule (unter der Leitung von D.V. Brusnikin). Außerdem studierte er am Bob Wilson's Laboratory (New York). Als Schauspieler wirkte er in den Produktionen Lorem Ipsum, A Man from Podolsk, Seryozha Is Very Stupid (Regie: Marina Brusnikina), The Snow Drift (Regie: Yuri Kvyatkovsky), This Is Also Me. Verbatim (Regie: Dmitry Brusnikin und Yuri Kvyatkovsky) und Demons (Regie: Mikhail Mokeev und Mikhail Rykhlin).
