Fabrik Quartet pres. Living Systems

The coexistence of existing systems and the changes therein are reflected in the musical concept of this concert. In each piece, the string quartet embodies a system, be it a living organism, a social system or a sound-sensory system. Each system arises from a specific and essential characteristic of the string quartet, such as the vibrating strings, the possibility of a perfectly unified sound or the highly expressive use of the bow.

Based on these properties, the string quartet can resemble a complex organism that functions according to its own mechanisms and principles. Some systems remain the same, others change.

The concert will feature the World Premiere of the String Quartet Whither Wither by composer Rishin Singh.
