OPIA – Conversations

You are invited to a day of learning and discussion with some of the creative minds behind the Ólafur Arnalds and OPIA worlds, in hopes it will inspire and support your creative journey.

Founded by Ólafur Arnalds, OPIA exists to celebrate community and the power of people coming together to share and support each others’ art. In a series of four intimate conversations, we will illuminate some different aspects of being an artist today, and ways to approach it. We will talk to Ólafur Arnalds about his creative inspiration and the principles behind OPIA that anyone can apply to their career, to his longtime collaborators and incredible art directors Torsten Posselt & Maximilian König about visuals and finding a brand identity, to top booking agent Ralf Diemert and tour manager Finn Zitscher about the live side of the business, and OPIA artists Sofi Paez and YANA about their creative journeys.

"At its core, music is communal. We want to help you think more about the community you’re building with your art, while considering different aspects of your career and artistry in that light. We hope you’ll walk away inspired and having had the chance to meet, talk to, and ask questions of some incredibly talented people in the modern-classical / electronic music field."

The event will take place the day before the OPIA Festival, with a casual cocktail hour to follow with the OPIA Team.
