A conducted interdisciplinary concert experience set in an allegorical world

"Ne Var Ne Yok" – this Turkish phrase roughly translates to "What’s going on? ...and what’s not?" It carries a deliberate double meaning and serves as the title of a multilingual, interdisciplinary art experience conceived, composed, and conducted by Başak Yavuz. The project merges music with a visual and fictional world.

The second layer of meaning—"Neither here nor there"—opens up a space for dialogue about ambiguity and the state of being in between.

Set in an allegorical world between the lands of the present and the absent, the performance invites the audience into a realm where boundaries dissolve, meanings shift, and narratives intertwine. Emerging from a collaborative creative phase, the piece blends conducted improvisation with experimental jazz and spoken word.
