james K
A version of james K was born. Comprised of bones, reactive metals and a larynx with freckled eyes that catalyzes that mix, she can now see through all the schemes. This is the truth. When she chews gum, it’s not clear which one of her personas does it. Since their first release in 2013, describing them separately is grunt work as they switch places, cosplay each other and would most likely lull you into a lonesome dream. Together, they know how to produce, sound, film and edit. Thus, they are brought to the table, performing and DJing in clubs and theaters, along composers and children alike.
K has been a resident on NTS, with her show Trip Lick, since 2019, and she has provided mix’s for series such as Dekmantel, Crack and Fact. She produces music that makes temporary haven for indomitable lyrics – and these are in constant flux.

While many DJs approach genre and scope adventurously, few are as expansive and unique as CCL. With an incisively technical and uncannily creative approach to mixing, and a ravenous appetite for music of all kinds, they unite the unimaginable. As a DIY festival organizer and record collector, drawing from their experiences in Bristol, the DIY scene of Seattle and the American Midwest, CCL has a unique affinity for fluidity and liminality, weaving music together through distinct narratives that open wormholes between all genres and tempos.
From their critically acclaimed radio show liquidtime to their subglow residency at Berlin institution Ohm, to best clubs and festivals worldwide, they showcase their unique take on sonic storytelling with a highly adaptable sense of dancefloor intuition.
