The Frohe Festival 2025

Together with authors, activists, and journalists, we celebrate literature, people, and different perspectives.

On December 12 & 13, 2025, at the Frohen Festival we will explore the many facets of power: in language and aesthetics, in digital algorithms and literary forms, in political structures and personal biographies. From feminist counter-narratives to patriarchal narrative patterns to resistant writing from crisis areas—from escapism as a subversive act to the power of algorithms in social media.

You can expect panel discussions, live podcasts, music acts, screenings, workshops, readings, and performances!
