Psychic Liberation Night: Helm + Lottie Sebes

Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013, originally run by Miguel Alvariño under the name Primitive Languages as a cassette and record store project in New York City. Since 2019, Nick Klein has operated it solo from the EU under the title Psychic Liberation. 

The concert series of the same name takes place in the Kuppelhalle with changing guests.  

HELM
Born in London, HELM is an electronic musician known for his dense, immersive soundscapes that move between drone, noise, ambient, and industrial. His work examines the relationship between abstract sound and physical space, merging analog and digital techniques into deeply atmospheric compositions.
HELM has released acclaimed albums on labels such as Dais, PAN, and his own imprint Alter, shaping the experimental music scene for over a decade. His extensive touring has brought him to diverse venues worldwide — from Berghain to Tate Modern — where his performances oscillate between brutal intensity and delicate precision.

Since 2016, HELM has hosted After Dark on NTS Radio, curating a distinctive mix of electronic music, jazz, punk, metal, and noise. He is currently working on his seventh album, scheduled for release in 2025.

Lottie Sebes
Berlin-based sound artist and performer Lottie Sebes explores the sonic junction of music and machine. Resisting the sleek fetishism of digital technology, her performances embrace the clunky aliveness of outmoded mechanisms. Built from parts of old machinery, her instruments become performative interfaces where voice, body, and machine noise intertwine.

Sebes’s work is a laborious and erotic negotiation of control and resistance — a techno-somatic dialogue between human and mechanical vitality.
Her sound installations and performances have been presented internationally, including at iMAL Art Center (Belgium), Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (Australia), Sonoscopia (Portugal), and iii (Netherlands). Her work has appeared in Sonic Scope, Echo, and the multimedia publication Veritas Ventriloquist.
