Ouri + Slowfoam

silent green presents

Ouri
Ouri began playing the harp and piano at age 5, but at 7 she found unity in the cello. A self-proclaimed introvert who’d rather dash off on her own than feel disconnected in the wrong crowd, she arrived in Montreal at the age of 16 to pursue a degree in science and ended up studying music composition.

Montreal’s rave scene is where her artistry began to take shape, establishing herself in the underground community as a producer and DJ. Later, her classical skills guided her back to composition. Lending her skills to various collaborations, she feeds on her affinity for fusing sonically into any genre and playing any role. One of a kind in the musical scene, Ouri holds the bridge between classical tradition and contemporary expression.

Slowfoam
Slowfoam, aka Madelyn Byrd, is a Berlin-based DJ and sound artist who weaves glitchy, swirling soundscapes from drones, shimmering ambient textures, field recordings, and percussive elements. Their music intertwines the personal, political, and mythical, inviting deep listening—an experience between reflection, queered resonances, and catharsis. With their acclaimed debut album Transcorporeal Portal (2024, Somewhere Press) and releases on labels like Mappa and Knekelhuis, they have made a name for themself internationally. In 2025, they won the raster open call: European Soundtrack Prize in the “Elegiac” category and co-founded Gravity Pleasure, a platform for diverse and FLINTA+ voices in the experimental music scene.
