Moin

Moin are a London-based three-piece featuring Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the electronic outfit Raime, alongside visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti.

Their music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres – grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock – through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. Employing both conventional and unique compositional techniques, their sound is marked by a visceral immediacy that comes to life in full force during their live performances.

Moin walk the line between the reassuringly familiar and the unsettlingly inquisitive. Released on 25 October 2024, their third album You Never End shows the band at their most accessible. Shaped by vocal collaborations throughout the album and elements of electronic production, Moin evoke emotional resonance in a subtle yet direct way.

First Body

First Body works within the framework of electroacoustics and ambient, with strong influences from the fields of contemporary music, jazz and free improvisation.

Since 2022, they have been working with various acoustically amplified wind instruments (saxophone, recorders) and processing their signals electronically using various effect pedals and harmonizer in addition to field recordings and synthesizers.

This instrumentation in the interplay of acoustic and electronic signals offers extremely complex and multi-layered possibilities to process signals, to improvise in their exchange and interplay and to compose their own music.
