Listening Session + Panel

In 1974, Ulrich Gregor, then head of the Internationalen Forum des Jungen Film, welcomed his guests at the Delphi Filmpalast. At the legendary table that was carried onto the stage after each film screening, he was joined by filmmakers Birgit and Wilhelm Hein, as well as film journalist Sebastian Feldmann.

Gregor announced that he wanted to discuss the “usefulness or non-usefulness” of experimental film programs within the festival. He was interested in how these programs were being received and how they might evolve.

And today? 

Following the presentation of the 1974 audio recording, the discussion will be continued by Bert Rebhandl (journalist), Clarissa Thieme (artist and filmmaker), Ulrich Ziemons (Forum Expanded), and Stefanie Schulte Strathaus (Arsenal).
