Alongside her 16-piece orchestra, her powerful solo piano concerts have long been a defining feature of the Berlin-based pianist and composer.

Following her live album recorded at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, which was nominated for the German Record Critics’ Award, Maria Baptist is now touring with her new solo programme and accompanying live album, Music for the Now. On stage, she has an electrifying presence. Physically intense and palpably willing to take risks, she improvises freely, shaping expansive musical arcs.
