silent green presents

Maria BC
Ohio-born, Oakland, CA-based artist Maria BC (they/them) has slowly opened up their process over the years, moving from the one-room recording process of 2021 EP Devil’s Rain to the untreated apartment wanderings of Hyaline in 2022, the home of a family friend featuring an out-of-tune baby Steinway piano where they recorded their Sacred Bones debut, Spike Field.

Hyaline, was a 2022 ambient-folk highlight. It found the singer-songwriter crafting haunting tracks that played like they were beamed from the heart of some mystical, cobwebbed attic. Spike Field pushed their gauzy formula into increasingly manicured terrain, capturing the sound of a young artist who has quickly honed a singular voice. Strings, plucked guitar and buzzing swells accompany their classically-trained mezzo-soprano voice soaking their arrangements in a denser and more kaleidoscopic way than any of their previous work.

Released in February 2026, Marathon marks Maria BC’s third studio album and sophomore release on Sacred Bones. Born from a sense of urgency, masochistic determination and endurance, Marathon reflects what it means to keep going whether you’re resisting or just surviving, you’re in it for the long haul. On this record, Maria BC delves into themes of resistance, environmental ruin, personal disruptions and destruction, all entwined in musical grit and drive.

Eli Wewentxu & Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė & Carolina Ovando
After meeting at Le Guess Who?, Eli and Indré recorded their album Después de llover.

The album is about musical conversations between two people who have only recently met; they come from very different places, do not speak the same languages, and perhaps have little in common other than the resonance of their instruments. This encounter leads them to explore an imaginary world where they share sounds to build a place where they can go and play with the moisture of the plants growing in the water, listen to the pudus playing with the herons, rest on the floripondios, and perhaps stay there waiting for the rain to return.

Mapuche artist, Eli Wewentxu, is based in Chomio - Wallmapu. He trained as a violinist from an early age and studied in various locations throughout Latin America and Europe. Eli works in musical composition, audiovisual creation, and collecting sound archives from the territory to which he belongs. He participates in various artistic and educational projects in Wallmapu that seek to create spaces for reflection and emotional processing in the face of the current political and environmental crisis, proposing listening as a daily practice of dialogue with the living environment.

He released his album/book Narraciones de un Retorno on 2024 with Other People label, which he was presenting in his tour in Latin America in collaboration with Nicolas Jaar on 2025.

He currently lives in his community in Gülumapu, near the city of Temuco, where he also works the land and cares for animals.

Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė is a kanklės player and singer from Lithuania, based in Belgium. Often performing solo or as part of Merope—her long-standing collaboration with Belgian guitarist and electronic artist Bert Cools— weaving together elements of folk, ambient and electronics, their albums released on Stroom and granvat. Indrė’s creative collaborations include works with artists such as Shahzad Ismaily, Eli Wewentxu, Jessika Kenney, Surya Botofasina, Laraaji, Gyða Valtýsdóttir, Solo Cissokho.

Después de llover came out in June 2026 on STROOM.

Carolina Ovando is a Chilean artist and designer based in Berlin. Her practice explores moving images and the boundaries between physical and virtual worlds.

Building on her previous collaboration with Eli Wewentxu on PITXANTU – Sound Archives, presented at Centro NAVE in Chile, her visuals for this performance combine archival footage from Eli and Indrė with her own observations of water. Through layered images, textures and rhythms, she creates a dialogue between personal archives, distant landscapes and imagined worlds, exploring the interplay of colour, movement and the natural environment.
