Out of the BOX. #1 Natur & Spiritualität
What happens when we view nature not just as a resource, a space, or a backdrop—but as part of a living network of relationships to which we ourselves belong?
With OUT OF THE BOX, the Nature Knowledge Network of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin brings nature-related topics to unusual locations around the city and brings together people who view our world from very different perspectives. It’s about encounters, exchange, and the opportunity to shift our own perspective.
For the launch event at silent green, we turn our attention to the topic of Nature & Spirituality:
What do we lose when our connection to nature begins to fade? What role do ideas of meaning, responsibility, interconnectedness, and creation play? And what can different worlds of knowledge and experience contribute to rethinking our relationship with nature?

Moderated by Maike Weisspflug.
This is not about finding quick answers or reaching a consensus by the end. Instead, we want to bring different perspectives into dialogue, sit with difficult questions, and develop new ideas together.
Because the way we think about nature also shapes the way we live in and shape society. OUT OF THE BOX creates space for perspectives that might not otherwise encounter one another—and for conversations that take us beyond our own bubbles.
Everyone is welcome who has remained curious, enjoys bringing questions to the table, and is open to new perspectives and unexpected encounters.
