Tony Njoku
silent green presents
Tony Njoku is an award-winning British-Nigerian composer, recording artist and multidisciplinary artist known for emotionally resonant, genre-blurring music paired with striking visual work. Born in Lagos and raised in London, he fuses electronic, ambient and classical music. His 2025 album All Our Knives Are Always Sharp brought together Tricky, GAIKA, Ghostpoet, Coby Sey, James Massiah, Space Afrika and Labi Junior.
Rooted in themes of spiritual preparedness, cultural resistance and championing community, the album unfolds through his signature blend of electronic abstraction, falsetto-led songwriting and cinematic composition. Philosophical, political and personal, each guest brings a vital new layer to the conversation.
With his recently released single Red Night, Njoku continues to build on his signature blend of electronic abstraction, haunting vocals and cinematic soundscapes. Built around a haunting cello line, it is met with synthesizers and Njoku’s exposed voice which becomes increasingly distorted and transformed before further string parts are added to the mix, providing the perfect bed for an unsettling tale of self reflection that asks the listener questions about mortality and acceptance.
