Sonic Morgue 02 – Bohren & der Club of Gore

Concert series

Sonic Morgue is a new concert series and club night in the Betonhalle of silent green. It was conceived by Christian Morin, who headed the music programme at the Volksbühne for twelve years and is also a festival dramaturge at Pop-Kultur. The Dresden painter Kerstin Junker is responsible for the visual design of the series. Framed by video installations, performances and art projects, a music event beyond the usual will be created in the underworld of the silent green.

For many years, the Mühlheim band Bohren & the Club of Gore have been creating evocative music that immediately makes you think you are in an imaginary David Lynch film. They themselves have always described their music as slowly played metal, but in fact you can also find elements of jazz and ambient in their music. Their record Patchoulie Blue, released in 2020, has not yet been heard live in Berlin.
