transmediale 2024: you’re doing amazing sweetie
transmediale is an annual festival and a platform for critical reflection on cultural transformation from a post-digital perspective. For over 30 years, the festival has been one of the most important international events in the field of digital art and culture.
The 37th edition of transmediale explores the toxic logics of online content as it claims more and more of the world's attention and resources, and how this perceived horror of content production defines and frustrates our relationships with technology. you're doing amazing sweetie focuses on the useless politics and political processes that emerge from the endless cycles of online consumption and distraction in and with social networks.
The transmediale Festival 2024 will take place at silent green and other locations in Berlin. In exhibitions, performances, film screenings, talks and lectures, international artists, thinkers and practitioners will examine how language, relationships and political possibilities are increasingly degenerating into a manipulative and mindless artifice through permanent access to content.
The exhibition Uncensored Lilac Bassam Issa Al-Sabah and Jennifer Mehigan can be seen at the transmediale studio in silent green from January 26 to April 14. The exhibition questions the ways in which climate change influences and alters social and environmental relationships and transforms the studio into a fantastic world.
